Overview

The INA132U/2K5 is a low-power, single-supply differential amplifier designed for precision signal conditioning. It integrates a high-precision op amp and an on-chip resistor network to provide a fixed gain of 1 with high common-mode rejection. Operating on a wide supply range from 2.7V to 36V, it is optimized for battery-powered and industrial instrumentation applications.

Why Choose This Part

The device features an exceptionally low input offset voltage of 75 uV and a high input common-mode range reaching up to +/-80V. Its integrated laser-trimmed resistors ensure excellent gain accuracy and common-mode rejection without requiring external precision components. The low 160uA supply current makes it one of the most efficient differential amplifiers in its class.

Applications

Industrial Process Control
Used in PLC CPU modules and analog input cards to convert differential signals into single-ended signals for ADC processing.
Optical Networking Modules
Provides precision current monitoring and signal conditioning within optical transceiver modules.
Battery-Powered Instrumentation
Ideal for portable lab and field equipment due to its ultra-low 160uA quiescent current.
Mass Spectrometry
Utilized in the sensitive analog front-end of scientific measurement devices for high-accuracy data acquisition.

Getting Started

When designing with the INA132, ensure the REF pin is connected to a low-impedance source, such as a voltage reference or ground, to maintain high CMRR. Decouple the supply pins with 0.1uF ceramic capacitors placed as close to the 8-SOIC package as possible. Use a standard analog prototyping board or a custom PCB to evaluate performance across the 300 kHz bandwidth.
