TIINA139NA/3K
Overview
The INA139NA/3K is a high-side, unipolar current shunt monitor designed for wide common-mode voltage ranges from 2.7V to 40V. It converts a differential input voltage across a shunt resistor into a current output, which is then converted back to a voltage using a single external load resistor. With a low quiescent current of only 60uA, it is highly efficient for power-sensitive monitoring applications.
Why Choose This Part
This device offers a high degree of flexibility by allowing the supply voltage to be independent of the input common-mode voltage. Its 440kHz bandwidth enables fast response times for transient detection, while the simple single-resistor gain scaling simplifies circuit design and reduces BOM count.

Getting Started
To implement the INA139, place a shunt resistor in the high-side supply path and connect a load resistor from the output pin to ground to set the desired gain. For prototyping, TI offers various current sense evaluation modules (EVMs) that support SOT-23 footprints.
