Overview

The INA240EVM is an evaluation module designed to test the INA240 precision current-sense amplifier, which is optimized for high-side or low-side current sensing in PWM systems. It supports a wide common-mode input range from -4V to 80V and utilizes a zero-drift architecture to maintain high accuracy across its operating temperature range. The board allows for easy verification of the device's enhanced PWM rejection, making it ideal for motor and solenoid applications.

Why Choose This Part

The module features enhanced PWM rejection that suppresses large transients and reduces signal noise without requiring heavy external filtering. It offers a low maximum error of 0.2 percent and zero-drift performance across a temperature range of -40C to 125C, ensuring stable measurements in harsh environments.

Applications

Motor Control Feedback
Used to monitor phase currents in brushless DC or stepper motor drives where high PWM rejection is critical for accuracy.
Solenoid and Valve Control
High-side current monitoring in industrial automation systems to ensure precise actuator positioning.
Power Management Systems
Precision current monitoring in high-voltage telecom equipment and power supplies with input rails up to 80V.
