Overview

The ISL3034EIRUZ-T is a 6-channel bi-directional CMOS logic level translator featuring auto-direction sensing and an enable input. It is designed to bridge the voltage gap between components operating on different supply rails, supporting translation from 1.35V to 3.2V on the VL side and 2.2V to 3.6V on the VCC side.

Why Choose This Part

The auto-direction sensing architecture eliminates the need for a DIR control signal from the host, simplifying PCB routing and firmware. Its ultra-compact 1.8mm x 2.6mm uTQFN package and low 2.5uA shutdown current make it ideal for battery-operated handheld devices.

Applications

SD Card Interfacing
Translating logic levels between a low-voltage microcontroller and a standard 3.3V SD memory card.
Mixed-Voltage Logic Systems
Connecting 1.8V application processors to 2.5V or 3.3V peripherals such as sensors or displays.
I2C/SMBus Level Shifting
Facilitating communication between masters and slaves on disparate power domains without requiring a direction control pin.
High-Speed Data Links
Managing signal integrity for data rates up to 100Mbps in space-constrained mobile or embedded designs.

Getting Started

To integrate this device, ensure the VL supply is always less than or equal to VCC, and decouple both supply pins with 0.1uF capacitors. The EN pin should be driven high for normal operation or pulled low to enter a high-impedance shutdown state.
