LCA110

IXYS Integrated Circuits
Solid State Relays - PCB Mount SPST-NO 6PIN DIP
13,187 in stock

Overview

The LCA110 is a single-pole, normally open (1-Form-A) solid state relay that utilizes optically coupled MOSFET technology to provide 3750Vrms of input-to-output isolation. This device is designed to replace electromechanical relays in applications requiring high reliability, silent operation, and long life cycles without mechanical wear. It supports load voltages up to 350V and a continuous load current of 120mA.

Why Choose This Part

The LCA110 features low drive power requirements making it directly compatible with TTL and CMOS logic levels. It offers a bounce-free and arc-free switching environment that eliminates the need for external snubbing circuits while maintaining high reliability in a compact 6-pin DIP package.

Applications

Telecommunications
Ideal for hook switch, dial pulse, and ground start circuits due to its high voltage rating and reliability.
Instrumentation
Used for multiplexing, data acquisition, and signal switching where low EMI/RFI is critical.
Industrial Control
Suitable for driving small solenoids or interfacing between sensitive logic and higher voltage peripherals.
Security Systems
Provides arc-free switching for alarm sensors and indicators without the need for snubbing circuits.

Getting Started

To use the LCA110, provide a typical forward current of 5mA to 10mA to the input LED (pins 1 and 2) to trigger the output. Ensure the load current does not exceed the 120mA rating and consider the thermal environment, as the device operates between -40C and +85C.
