LEOAC14PT
Overview
The LEOAC14PT is a radiation-hardened hex inverter with Schmitt trigger inputs designed for harsh orbital environments. Part of the STMicroelectronics LEO series, it provides six independent circuits capable of transforming slowly changing input signals into sharply defined, jitter-free output signals. It is specifically qualified for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) missions with guaranteed outgassing limits and total ionizing dose resistance.
Why Choose This Part
This device is SEL-free up to 62.5 MeV.cm2/mg and tested for a total ionizing dose (TID) of 50 krad (Si). It features high-quality NiPdAu lead finishing and gold wires to prevent tin whiskers in vacuum environments, while maintaining low outgassing specifications (RML less than 1% and CVCM less than 0.1%).

Getting Started
When designing for LEO missions, ensure the VCC is decoupled within the 2V to 6V range and account for the 12ns propagation delay at 4.5V. Prototype with standard 74AC14 TSSOP-14 footprints, but note the LEOAC14PT uses a 20-pin TSSOP package for improved thermal and mechanical reliability in flight hardware.
