LEOLVDSRDPT-D

STMicroelectronics
1/1 Transceiver Full LVDS 20-TSSOP
Active3 in stock

Overview

The LEOLVDSRDPT-D is a radiation-hardened 1/1 LVDS transceiver specifically designed for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite applications. It provides full-duplex communication at data rates up to 400Mbps while operating from a 3V to 3.6V supply. This component is optimized for harsh environments with a total ionizing dose (TID) rating of 50 krad (Si) and is SEL-free up to 62.5 MeV.cm2/mg.

Why Choose This Part

This transceiver features a cold spare function on all pins to prevent leakage when the device is unpowered, and a fail-safe mechanism to ensure predictable output states. It is built with a whisker-free NiPdAu lead finish and gold wires for high reliability in vacuum environments, maintaining a low 4mA maximum standby current.

Applications

Satellite Payload Data Handling
High-speed differential signaling between flight computers and sensor payloads in LEO environments.
Spacecraft Command and Telemetry
Reliable point-to-point communication links within the satellite bus where radiation tolerance is required.
Aerospace Interface Systems
Low-power high-speed data transmission in avionics systems requiring LVDS to LVCMOS translation.

Getting Started

Designers should follow STMicroelectronics LEO-series design guidelines, ensuring proper differential impedance matching for the 400Mbps LVDS lines. Integration typically involves validating the fail-safe and cold spare behavior within the system power-sequencing plan for the satellite's communication backplane.
