LN60E
Overview
The LN60E is a cellular LTE-M and NB-IoT transceiver module built into a compact M.2 B Key form factor for easy integration into industrial computing platforms. It is based on the Nordic nRF9160 SiP and features an integrated ARM Cortex-M33 application processor with 1024 KB Flash and 256 KB RAM. This module includes a U.FL connector specifically for an external GPS antenna to support location-tracking applications.
Why Choose This Part
The M.2 B Key interface allows for solderless installation and easy upgrades in compatible hardware designs. It supports a wide operating voltage range from 3.2V to 15V, providing significant flexibility for various power rail configurations. The inclusion of a dedicated U.FL for GPS ensures reliable positioning capabilities alongside global LTE-M and NB-IoT coverage.
Applications
Getting Started
Developers can utilize the Nordic nRF Connect SDK and Zephyr RTOS to write applications for the internal Cortex-M33 core. For hardware evaluation, the module should be installed in a host board with an M.2 B Key slot and connected to appropriate LTE and GPS antennas via the U.FL ports. Firmware updates and debugging can be performed through the SWD or JTAG interfaces exposed on the connector pins.
