Overview

The LP5907SNX-1.8/NOPB is a high-performance linear voltage regulator designed to provide up to 250mA of output current with extremely low noise and high PSRR. This fixed 1.8V LDO is optimized for RF and analog circuits that require a clean power supply without the need for an external noise bypass capacitor. Its ultra-low quiescent current of 12uA helps extend battery life in portable electronics.

Why Choose This Part

The LP5907 excels by maintaining high PSRR and low noise performance even when the output capacitor is placed far from the IC, offering significant PCB routing flexibility. It eliminates the need for a noise bypass capacitor, reducing total BOM count and saving board space in dense designs.

Applications

RF and Analog Power
Providing clean power to sensitive RF front-ends, VCOs, and PLLs where low noise (6.5uVrms) is critical for signal integrity.
Portable Battery-Powered Devices
Ideal for smartphones and tablets due to the 12uA quiescent current and ultra-small 1mm x 1mm X2SON package.
Image Sensors
Powering digital still camera sensors where high PSRR (up to 90dB) helps reject switching noise from upstream DC-DC converters.
Factory Automation
Reliable 1.8V regulation for low-power industrial sensors and microcontrollers operating in environments up to 125 degrees Celsius.

Getting Started

When designing with this LDO, ensure a 1uF ceramic input and output capacitor are used for stability. The EN pin should be driven high to enable the device, and the automatic discharge feature will quickly pull the output to ground when the regulator is disabled.
