LR1120IMLTRT
Overview
The LR1120IMLTRT is a surface-mount, multi-radio transceiver module from Semtech that combines LoRa LPWAN, GNSS (GPS/BeiDou), and 2.4 GHz WiFi capability in one package. It supports LoRa at 869/915 MHz, GNSS L1 at 1.57542 GHz, and 2.4 GHz WiFi 802.11b/g/n (antenna not included). The module communicates to a host MCU over SPI and runs from a 1.8 V to 3.7 V supply.
Why Choose This Part
This module consolidates multiple radios (LoRa, GNSS, WiFi) into a single SMD package, reducing BOM count and board area compared with separate chips. With a reported -144 dBm sensitivity and up to 22 dBm output power it supports long-range links and robust GNSS reception. The SPI serial interface and broad 1.8 V to 3.7 V supply window make it straightforward to integrate with common MCUs and power rails.

Getting Started
Start by downloading the module datasheet and reference schematic from Semtech and review RF layout and antenna recommendations carefully, since antennas are not included. Use a host MCU that can run the vendor-provided driver/example code over SPI; standard toolchains (GCC/arm-none-eabi, vendor IDEs) work for the host firmware. Verify power-supply decoupling and provide separate antennas or antenna switches for the sub-bands you plan to use.
