ADIMAX11312GTJ+
Overview
The MAX11312GTJ+ is a highly integrated PIXI mixed-signal I/O device featuring 12 high-voltage bipolar ports that can be individually configured as a 12-bit ADC, a 12-bit DAC, or a general-purpose I/O. It allows for seamless interfacing between a digital host and a variety of analog sensors and actuators across a wide voltage range of -10V to +10V. The device simplifies hardware design by replacing multiple discrete analog components with a single I2C-controlled programmable solution.
Why Choose This Part
The device provides extreme flexibility by allowing any of its 12 ports to be repurposed in real-time, significantly reducing BOM complexity and PCB footprint. It supports wide bipolar analog ranges up to +/-10V despite a standard 5V supply, eliminating the need for external level shifters or op-amp scaling stages.

Getting Started
Evaluation can be performed using the MAX11312EVKIT, which provides a graphical user interface (GUI) to configure the PIXI port registers via a USB-to-I2C bridge. Engineers should consult the register map to set the functional mode for each port and utilize the internal 2.5V reference or an external source for high-accuracy conversions.
