Overview

The MAX14748 is a highly integrated USB Type-C charger solution designed for 2-cell Lithium-ion battery packs. It combines a smart power selector, a high-efficiency DC-DC converter with boost and reverse-buck capability, and comprehensive USB detection logic in a compact 54-WLP package. The IC supports USB Type-C Rev 1.1 with UFP/DRP operation and includes 28V overvoltage protection on the input.
