Overview

The MCP2562FD-E/SN is a high-speed CAN Flexible Data Rate (CAN FD) transceiver designed to interface a CAN protocol controller with the physical two-wire bus. It supports data rates up to 8Mbps and features a dedicated VIO pin, allowing for direct connection to microcontrollers operating with I/O voltages from 1.8V to 5.5V without level shifters.

Getting Started

When designing your PCB, place a 0.1uF bypass capacitor as close as possible to the VDD and VIO pins. For evaluation, use this IC with a CAN FD-capable controller like the MCP2517FD or an MCU with an integrated CAN FD peripheral, ensuring the bus is terminated with 120-ohm resistors at both ends.
