MCP2562FDT-H/SN

MCHPMCP2562FDT-H/SN

Microchip Technology
1/1 Transceiver CANbus 8-SOIC
Active6,378 in stock

Overview

The MCP2562FDT-H/SN is a high-speed CAN transceiver that provides the interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus. It features a dedicated VIO pin to level-shift the digital logic signals directly to microcontrollers operating as low as 1.8V, eliminating the need for external level shifters in mixed-voltage systems.

Why Choose This Part

The integrated VIO pin allows for seamless 1.8V to 5.5V logic interfacing, while the device's high-temperature rating of 150 degrees Celsius supports demanding under-the-hood automotive applications. It also features 200mV receiver hysteresis and very low standby current for energy-efficient designs.

Applications

Automotive Engine Control Units (ECU)
Handles robust communication within vehicle networks, qualified for high-temperature environments up to 150 degrees Celsius.
Industrial Automation
Facilitates reliable CAN node connectivity in factory environments requiring high noise immunity and 8Mbps data rates.
Body Control Modules
Utilizes low-current standby mode (less than 1uA typical) to minimize power draw when the vehicle subsystem is inactive.

Getting Started

Place a 100nF decoupling capacitor close to the VDD and VIO pins, and ensure the CAN bus is terminated with 120-ohm resistors at both ends. For development, this transceiver can be paired with any MCU featuring an integrated CAN peripheral, such as a PIC32 or STM32, using standard TXD and RXD pins.
