MCP2562T-E/MF

MCHPMCP2562T-E/MF

Microchip Technology
1/1 Transceiver Half CANbus 8-DFN (3x3)
Active25,584 in stock

Overview

The MCP2562T-E/MF is a high-speed CAN transceiver that serves as the physical layer interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical two-wire bus. This AEC-Q100 qualified device supports data rates up to 1 Mb/s and features a dedicated VIO pin for direct interfacing with microcontrollers operating from 1.8V to 5.5V.

Why Choose This Part

The inclusion of a VIO supply pin eliminates the need for external level shifters when connecting the transceiver to low-voltage microcontrollers. It offers excellent robust performance with high-voltage transient protection and a low standby current of only 5 uA typical, making it suitable for power-sensitive automotive applications.

Applications

Automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs)
Used in 12V and 24V vehicle systems for robust communication between powertrain, chassis, and body controllers.
Industrial Automation
Ideal for CANopen and DeviceNet networks in factory environments where high-noise immunity and ground fault detection are required.
Power Distribution Systems
Facilitates communication within smart power grids and battery management systems that utilize CAN-based monitoring.

Getting Started

To evaluate this transceiver, use the MCP2562 Click board or integrate it into a design using a 3x3mm DFN footprint. Ensure the VDD pin is supplied with 4.5V to 5.5V and the VIO pin matches your microcontroller logic level (1.8V to 5.5V) for proper signal translation.
