MCHPMCP2562T-E/SN
Overview
The MCP2562T-E/SN is a high-speed CAN transceiver that provides the interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus. It features a dedicated VIO pin that allows for direct interfacing with microcontrollers operating from 1.8V to 5.5V without the need for external level shifters. This device is designed for high-speed applications up to 1 Mbps while maintaining very low standby current of 1 uA.
Why Choose This Part
The integrated VIO pin simplifies designs by supporting digital logic levels as low as 1.8V, eliminating external level translation components. It offers high immunity against EMI and robust ESD protection, coupled with an extremely low standby current of 1 uA for power-sensitive nodes.

Getting Started
To evaluate this transceiver, use the MCP2562 Click board or interface it with a PIC microcontroller using the MCP2515 CAN controller. Ensure a 120-ohm termination resistor is present at both ends of the CAN bus and bypass the VDD and VIO pins with 0.1uF ceramic capacitors.
