Overview

The MCP2562T-E/SN is a high-speed CAN transceiver that provides the interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus. It features a dedicated VIO pin that allows for direct interfacing with microcontrollers operating from 1.8V to 5.5V without the need for external level shifters. This device is designed for high-speed applications up to 1 Mbps while maintaining very low standby current of 1 uA.

Getting Started

To evaluate this transceiver, use the MCP2562 Click board or interface it with a PIC microcontroller using the MCP2515 CAN controller. Ensure a 120-ohm termination resistor is present at both ends of the CAN bus and bypass the VDD and VIO pins with 0.1uF ceramic capacitors.
