Overview

The MCP4922-E/P is a dual-channel 12-bit voltage output Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) utilizing a resistor string architecture and SPI interface. This part features external voltage reference inputs and rail-to-rail output buffers, operating over a wide supply range of 2.7V to 5.5V.

Why Choose This Part

The MCP4922 offers high integration with two DAC channels in a single 14-DIP package, making it ideal for breadboard prototyping. It provides flexible output scaling with a selectable 1x or 2x gain and ensures low power consumption with a 2uA shutdown mode.

Applications

Precision Set-Point Control
Providing accurate reference voltages for industrial PID loops and motor control set-points.
Sensor Calibration
Adjusting offset and gain in analog sensor signal conditioning chains.
Waveform Generation
Creating low-frequency analog signals for testing or audio synthesis using the 4.5us typical settling time.
