Overview

The MCP6022-I/SN is a dual-channel, rail-to-rail input and output operational amplifier featuring a 10 MHz gain bandwidth product. It operates on a single supply voltage ranging from 2.5V to 5.5V while maintaining a low typical supply current of 1 mA per channel. With a 7V/us slew rate and extremely low 1 pA input bias current, it is well-suited for high-impedance sensor conditioning.

Why Choose This Part

The MCP6022 offers a strong balance of speed and power, providing a 10 MHz bandwidth with relatively low current consumption. Its rail-to-rail input and output capability ensures maximum signal swing in low-voltage, single-supply systems.

Applications

Multi-Pole Active Filters
Utilizes the 10 MHz bandwidth and rail-to-rail performance for precise signal filtering in the megahertz range.
High-Impedance Sensor Interfacing
The 1 pA input bias current minimizes error when buffering pH sensors, photodiodes, or other high-impedance sources.
DAC Output Buffering
Provides low-noise, rail-to-rail swing to maximize the dynamic range of digital-to-analog converter outputs.
Battery Powered Instrumentation
Operates down to 2.5V, making it compatible with lithium-ion and multi-cell alkaline battery stacks.

Getting Started

When designing with the MCP6022, place a 0.1uF ceramic bypass capacitor as close to the VDD pin as possible to maintain stability. For prototyping, this 8-SOIC package can be used with standard SOIC-to-DIP adapter boards on a breadboard.
