Overview

The MDBT50Q-1M is a compact Bluetooth 5.4 Low Energy module based on the Nordic Semiconductor nRF52840 SoC. It features a high-performance 64MHz ARM Cortex-M4F processor with 1MB Flash and 256kB RAM, supporting complex protocols including Zigbee and Thread in a pre-certified package.

Why Choose This Part

This module provides a turnkey RF solution with an integrated chip antenna and full certifications, significantly reducing time-to-market. The 1MB Flash and 256kB RAM accommodate large application code and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, while the wide range of serial interfaces like I2S and PDM support advanced digital audio inputs.

Applications

Smart Home Hubs
Utilizes multiprotocol support for Zigbee, Thread, and Bluetooth 5 to act as a gateway for domestic automation.
Advanced Wearables
The ultra-low sleep current of 0.4 uA and integrated FPU make it suitable for battery-powered health trackers.
Industrial IoT Sensors
Uses the +8dBm output power and high sensitivity of -103dBm for reliable long-range wireless communication.
USB Dongles
Leverages the integrated USB interface to create wireless bridges or PC peripherals without external controller chips.
