Getting Started

For implementation, place a 10uF or larger capacitor (with ESR under 5 ohms) on the output for stability and a 0.1uF ceramic capacitor on the input if the device is far from the main filter. Ensure the TO-220 tab is properly heatsinked if operating near the 750mA limit with a high input-to-output voltage differential. No external resistors are required since this is a fixed 5V version.
