Overview

The MIC5365-3.0YC5-TR is a high-performance, 150mA LDO regulator designed for space-constrained applications. It provides a fixed 3.0V output with high PSRR (80dB at 1kHz) and low quiescent current, making it ideal for battery-powered handheld electronics. The device is housed in a tiny 5-pin SC-70 package and includes an enable pin for zero-current shutdown mode.

Why Choose This Part

This regulator offers an excellent balance of high PSRR and low quiescent current in a sub-miniature SC-70 package. It includes integrated thermal-shutdown and current-limit protection to improve system robustness. The 2 percent output accuracy ensures reliable voltage rails across the full operating temperature range of -40 to 125 degrees Celsius.

Applications

Mobile Handsets
Provides clean 3.0V power to sensitive RF and baseband circuits while minimizing board space.
Battery-Powered IoT Sensors
Utilizes the 1uA shutdown current and 29uA operating IQ to extend battery life in remote sensor nodes.
Camera Modules
Leverages high PSRR to ensure stable power for image sensors and minimize noise artifacts.
Portable Media Players
Small footprint and low dropout voltage allow for efficient regulation in compact consumer devices.

Getting Started

To implement this LDO, place a 1uF ceramic capacitor close to the input and output pins for stability. Ensure the Enable pin is driven high to activate the regulator or low to enter a 1uA shutdown state. For thermal management, maximize the copper area connected to the GND pin to help dissipate heat from the SC-70 package.
