Overview

The MIC5365-3.3YD5-TR is a high-performance, fixed 3.3V linear regulator capable of delivering 150mA of output current. It is designed for space-constrained applications, featuring a high Power Supply Rejection Ratio (PSRR) of up to 80dB at 1kHz and a very low ground current of 29uA. The device includes an enable pin for power management and integrates both thermal shutdown and current limit protection.

Why Choose This Part

This LDO stands out for its excellent high-frequency PSRR and low noise performance, which is critical for RF and analog stages. Its small TSOT-23-5 footprint and minimal external component requirements save significant PCB area. The high accuracy of 2 percent and a wide operating temperature range from -40C to 125C ensure reliability in demanding environments.

Applications

Mobile Handsets
Provides clean 3.3V power to sensitive RF and analog baseband components in cellular devices.
Battery-Powered IoT Sensors
Utilizes the low 29uA quiescent current to extend battery life in wireless sensor nodes.
Post-Regulation
Acts as a low-noise filter for switching regulator outputs in high-fidelity audio or instrumentation circuits.
Camera Modules
Powers image sensors that require stable, high-PSRR rails to maintain image quality.

Getting Started

When designing with this regulator, place a 1uF ceramic capacitor close to the output pin to ensure stability and improve transient response. The EN pin must be driven high to enable the device; it can be tied directly to the input voltage for 'always-on' operation. Thermal performance should be calculated based on the TSOT-23-5 package's junction-to-ambient resistance and the expected voltage drop to avoid thermal shutdown at maximum load.
