MikroE ARM Click Shield for Teensy 4.0
Overview
A MikroElektronika shield that brings mikroBUS Click board compatibility to the Teensy 4.0 form factor. It maps Teensy GPIO, SPI, I2C, UART and power lines to mikroBUS connectors so you can attach Click add-on modules for rapid prototyping. Intended as a hardware adapter between Teensy 4.0 and the large Click board ecosystem.
Why Choose This Part
Lets you leverage the large mikroBUS Click ecosystem without custom PCBs, speeding hardware prototyping. It preserves the compact Teensy 4.0 form factor while exposing common interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, power) to Click modules, reducing wiring and integration work. The adapter approach makes it easy to iterate between different peripheral modules during evaluation.
Applications
Getting Started
You will need a Teensy 4.0 MCU board to mate with this shield. Use the Arduino IDE with the Teensyduino add-on or PlatformIO to compile and upload firmware to Teensy 4.0; confirm pin mappings in the shield documentation before using a Click board. Power off when inserting or swapping Click boards and consult each Click module datasheet for any specific wiring or power requirements.
