Overview

The MLX90360 is a monolithic magnetic position sensor IC utilizing Triaxis Hall technology to detect the absolute position of a magnet in 360-degree rotary or linear movement. It features on-chip signal processing to provide a programmable 12-bit resolution output via PWM or ratiometric analog interfaces. The device is designed for harsh environments, supporting an operating temperature range of -40degC to 150degC.

Getting Started

Development requires a Melexis PTC-04 programmer to configure the internal 128-byte EEPROM settings for gain, offset, and linearization. Engineers should design the magnetic circuit around a diametrically magnetized cylinder for rotary applications or a bar magnet for linear sensing.
