Overview
The MOD-BME280 is a small form-factor breakout board featuring the Bosch BME280 integrated environmental sensor. It provides precise measurements of temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure over an I2C interface. The module is designed with the UEXT connector system for easy integration with Olimex development boards but can be used with any microcontroller via standard headers.
Why Choose This Part
This module simplifies prototyping by breaking out the tiny BME280 LGA package to a breadboard-friendly format. It includes the standard 10-pin UEXT connector for plug-and-play compatibility with the Olimex ecosystem, while supporting a wide supply voltage range for 3.3V logic systems.
Applications
Getting Started
Connect the module to any I2C-capable microcontroller like an ESP32 or Arduino. Use the Bosch BME280 sensor API or popular community libraries to read the calibrated data registers. Ensure the VCC is supplied with 3.3V as the sensor is not 5V tolerant.
