MPXV5004DP
Overview
The MPXV5004DP is a high-performance differential pressure sensor designed for low-pressure sensing applications between 0 and 3.92 kPa (0 to 400 mm H2O). This silicon piezoresistive transducer combines advanced micromachining techniques, thin-film metallization, and bipolar processing to provide a high-level analog output signal proportional to applied pressure. It is temperature compensated and calibrated, making it ideal for precision measurements in appliance and medical environments.
Why Choose This Part
The sensor features an extremely high sensitivity of 1.0 V/kPa, allowing for precise measurement of very low pressures without external amplification. It provides a highly accurate output with a 1.5 percent maximum error rating across its primary operating range. The dual-port 8-BSOP surface-mount package simplifies pneumatic connections while maintaining a small PCB footprint.

Getting Started
To interface with the MPXV5004DP, provide a stable 5.0 VDC supply to VDD and connect the analog output directly to a 10-bit or higher ADC on a microcontroller. Since the output spans approximately 1.0 V to 4.9 V, ensure your ADC reference voltage matches the sensor supply to maintain ratiometric accuracy. Use 3.3mm (0.13 inch) ID tubing with the barbed ports for secure pneumatic connections.
