TIMSP430FR2512IRHLR
Overview
The MSP430FR2512IRHLR is a 16-bit ultra-low-power microcontroller featuring TI CapTIvate technology and 7.5KB of unified Ferroelectric RAM (FRAM). It is specifically optimized for high-performance capacitive touch sensing applications, supporting up to 8 self-capacitance or 16 mutual-capacitance sensors. The integration of CapTIvate allows for touch functionality with high noise immunity and reliable operation even in the presence of water.
Why Choose This Part
The inclusion of FRAM provides 10^15 write cycle endurance and non-volatile storage with much lower power requirements than traditional Flash. CapTIvate technology offers dedicated hardware for capacitive sensing that operates autonomously in low-power modes, significantly reducing CPU overhead. The device also features a 10-bit ADC and multiple clock sources, including an on-chip 16MHz DCO with FLL for stable timing without external crystals.
