Linear Voltage Regulator IC Positive Fixed 1 Output 100mA SOT-223 (TO-261)
Active12,742 in stock

Overview

The NCV4264-2CST50T3G is an AEC-Q100 qualified low dropout linear regulator designed specifically for automotive applications. It provides a fixed 5.0V output at up to 100mA from input voltages as high as 45V, making it suitable for direct connection to battery-linked systems.

Why Choose This Part

This regulator features integrated -42V reverse polarity protection and a wide operating temperature range up to 150 degrees Celsius. Its 45V maximum input rating provides significant headroom against load dump transients, while the SOT-223 package offers a balance of small footprint and thermal dissipation capability.

Applications

Automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs)
Providing regulated 5V power to microcontrollers and sensors directly from the vehicle battery rail.
Always-On Systems
Utilizing the low 33uA quiescent current to maintain power to volatile memory or wake-up circuits during ignition-off states.
CAN Bus Transceiver Power
Supplying clean, stable 5V power to communication transceivers in noisy automotive environments.
Industrial High-Voltage Sensors
Regulating 24V or 36V industrial supply rails down to 5V for logic-level components.

Getting Started

When designing with the NCV4264-2, ensure a minimum output capacitance is used as specified in the datasheet to maintain loop stability. The TAB of the SOT-223 package is electrically connected to the ground pin and should be soldered to a large copper area to manage heat dissipation at high input-to-output voltage differentials.
