Overview

The NT3H2111W0FHKH is an NFC Forum Type 2 Tag compliant IC that combines a passive NFC interface with a contact-based I2C interface. It features 888 bytes of EEPROM and supports an energy harvesting mode that can power external microcontrollers or sensors from the NFC field. The chip includes a pass-through mode for high-speed data exchange between an NFC-enabled device and an I2C host.

Why Choose This Part

The IC offers an SRAM-based pass-through mode for fast data transfers without consuming EEPROM write cycles. It includes an integrated energy harvesting output (VOUT) capable of providing up to 3.3V, and a configurable field-detection pin to wake up a host microcontroller upon an NFC event.

Applications

Zero-Power Configuration
Programming device settings or firmware parameters via NFC while the target system is powered down or unboxed.
Bluetooth/Wi-Fi Pairing
Simplifying the commissioning process for headless IoT devices through NFC tap-to-pair functionality.
Electronic Shelf Labeling
Providing a low-cost communication bridge for updating digital displays using energy harvested from a handheld reader.
Medical Wearables
Enabling secure data retrieval from low-power sensors or diagnostic patches using ECC-based originality signatures.
