NTS0104GU12
Overview
The NTS0104GU12 is a 4-bit, dual-supply voltage level translator with auto-direction sensing that enables bidirectional voltage migration without a direction-control signal. It supports a wide range of voltage levels, translating between 1.65 V to 3.6 V on the VCCA side and 2.3 V to 5.5 V on the VCCB side. This component is compatible with both open-drain and push-pull CMOS logic outputs, making it highly versatile for mixed-voltage digital systems.
Why Choose This Part
The device features auto-direction sensing which simplifies PCB routing and reduces MCU pin count by eliminating the need for a DIR control pin. It offers a high data rate of up to 50Mbps and includes partial power-down mode (Ioff) logic, which prevents damaging backflow current when the device is powered down.

Getting Started
Ensure that VCCA is always less than or equal to VCCB and that both supplies are stable before driving I/O pins. Use decoupling capacitors on both supply pins and pull the OE (Output Enable) pin low during power-up or power-down to ensure the high-impedance state. For prototyping, look for XQFN-12 to DIP breakout boards as the 0.4mm pitch and small 1.7mm x 2.0mm footprint require precise SMT soldering.
