Overview
The PCA9306DCUT is a dual-channel bidirectional voltage-level translator designed for I2C-bus and SMBus applications. It enables seamless communication between devices operating on different voltage rails from 1.2 V to 3.3 V on the low side and 1.8 V to 5.5 V on the high side. Because it uses a pass-gate architecture, it does not require a direction pin, making it ideal for standard open-drain serial interfaces.

Getting Started
To implement this part, place a 200-kohm pull-up resistor from VCCB to the EN pin and connect VREF1 to the lower voltage supply. Ensure pull-up resistors are present on both the SDA and SCL lines for both the low-side and high-side rails as the device is passive. Evaluation can be done using the PCA9306EVM prototyping module.
