Overview

The PIC16F18325-I/P is an 8-bit eXtreme Low Power (XLP) microcontroller featuring 14KB of Flash memory and a 32MHz internal oscillator in a breadboard-friendly 14-PDIP package. It is designed for functional safety (FuSa) applications and includes Peripheral Pin Select (PPS) for flexible I/O mapping. This MCU is optimized for low-power consumption, drawing as little as 37 uA/MHz at 1.8V.

Why Choose This Part

This MCU offers a high degree of peripheral flexibility through PPS, allowing engineers to route digital signals to any I/O pin. It includes 256 bytes of EEPROM for non-volatile data storage and specialized low-power reset modes like LPBOR to maintain reliability while minimizing current draw.

Applications

Battery-Powered Remote Sensors
Utilizes XLP technology and a 0.04 uA sleep current to extend battery life in periodic monitoring applications.
Functional Safety Controllers
Leverages integrated hardware features to support safety-critical tasks in industrial and automotive environments.
Signal Conditioning
Uses the internal Fixed Voltage Reference (1.024V to 4.096V) and 12 I/O pins for precise analog-to-digital conversions.
Prototyping and Education
The through-hole PDIP package allows for easy use on breadboards and socketed development platforms.
