The PM-T45 is a U-shaped through-beam photoelectric sensor from Panasonic designed for precise position sensing in industrial automation. Getting Started

To integrate the PM-T45, connect the brown lead to 5-24V DC and the blue lead to 0V. The black and white wires provide NPN open-collector outputs which require external pull-up resistors if the micro-controller or PLC does not have internal pull-ups. Ensure the 6mm slot is clear of debris and that the load current does not exceed 50mA to prevent damage to the output transistors.
