STMicroelectronics
Linear Voltage Regulator IC Positive Adjustable 1 Output 2A 16-CFlatPack
Active2 in stock

Overview

The RHFL6000AKP1 is a radiation-hardened positive adjustable linear voltage regulator designed for harsh aerospace environments. It delivers up to 2A of output current with a low dropout voltage of 0.9V at full load and operates across an input range of 2.5V to 12V.

Why Choose This Part

This regulator features an accessible internal control loop for customized frequency compensation and programmable short-circuit current limits. It provides comprehensive protection via overtemperature and overcurrent monitoring, along with remote sensing capabilities to maintain precision at the load.

Applications

Satellite Power Bus Regulation
Providing stable local power rails for digital and analog payloads in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Geostationary (GEO) satellites.
Radiation-Hardened Sensor Arrays
Supplying clean, low-noise power to sensitive instrumentation and imaging sensors in space environments.
Deep Space Exploration Probes
Reliable power management for long-duration missions requiring high Total Ionizing Dose (TID) resistance.
High-Reliability Avionics
Critical power regulation for flight control systems where high reliability and overcurrent protection are mandatory.

Getting Started

When designing with the RHFL6000AKP1, ensure the 16-pin ceramic FlatPack is properly heatsunk through the PCB or chassis to manage thermal dissipation at 2A loads. Use the Inhibit pin for TTL-compatible power sequencing and refer to the datasheet for selecting external resistors to set the adjustable output voltage from 1.245V up to the input limit.
