Overview

The RN4020BCN-V/RM120 is a fully certified Bluetooth v4.1 Low Energy (BLE) module designed for low-power wireless communication. It integrates a complete Bluetooth stack, a 2.4GHz radio, and an onboard PCB trace antenna into a compact 11.5mm x 19.5mm SMT package. The module features a built-in script engine and supports MLDP for simplified data streaming, making it an efficient bridge between a host MCU and mobile devices.

Why Choose This Part

The module is highly energy-efficient with a 16mA run current and ultra-low sleep modes down to 0.9uA. It simplifies integration by offering a complete onboard stack and integrated antenna, while providing 6 GPIOs and 3 PWM channels for peripheral control without requiring a separate microcontroller in simple applications.

Applications

IoT Sensor Tags
Utilizes 3 ADC channels and 10-bit resolution to interface directly with analog sensors for low-power environmental monitoring.
Medical and Fitness Wearables
Fits into small form factors for health trackers, benefiting from its low 5uA sleep current and 0.9uA standby mode.
Industrial Remote Control
Enables reliable wireless control interfaces in industrial environments with an operating temperature range of -30C to +85C.
Bluetooth Beacons
Supports standard BLE advertising modes for proximity sensing and retail marketing applications.
