Overview

The SDS1104 is a 100 MHz bench digital oscilloscope with four analog input channels, a color LCD, and USB connectivity for data transfer. It offers up to 1 GSa/s sampling rate, 20 kpts memory depth, 1 M input impedance, and ships with passive 10:1 probes. The unit supports recording and saving waveforms and is rated CAT II 400V for typical bench use.

Why Choose This Part

Four analog channels let you compare multiple signals and triggers without adding extra scopes. The 100 MHz bandwidth and up to 1 GSa/s sampling provide adequate resolution for many embedded and power-electronics tasks, while the built-in USB and recording features simplify waveform capture and archiving. Included passive 10:1 probes and a color LCD reduce setup time for bench work.

Applications

Embedded system debug
Capture and correlate multiple digital and analog signals from microcontrollers, buses, and sensors using four channels.
Power electronics and motor drive testing
Measure switching waveforms, ripple, and transient behavior on power converters and drivers within the 100 MHz bandwidth.
Design validation and lab bench work
Record and save waveforms for documentation, regression tests, and design reviews using the USB interface.
Education and training
Classroom and lab exercises where multi-channel visibility and a color display help students visualize signals and timing.
Field diagnostics
Portable bench replacement for on-site troubleshooting when USB data capture and saving are needed.

Getting Started

Install the manufacturer USB software from Owon/Lilliput's support site to capture and save waveforms on a PC. Always compensate the supplied 10:1 probes and set the oscilloscope channel attenuation accordingly, and connect probe grounds to circuit ground. Observe the CAT II 400V rating and follow the manual for safe probe and input connections.
