Overview

The SDS1202 is a 200 MHz bench digital oscilloscope with two analog channels, a 1 GSa/s maximum sample rate and 20 kpts record length. It provides a color LCD, USB interface for data transfer, two passive 10:1 probes, 1 MOhm input impedance and a CAT II 400V rating. The scope supports record and save functions for waveform capture and PC storage.

Why Choose This Part

Practical 200 MHz bandwidth combined with 1 GSa/s sampling gives good time-domain fidelity for general-purpose lab work. Two analog channels let you compare signals or measure differential behavior without extra equipment, and included 10:1 passive probes simplify initial setup. USB connectivity and onboard record/save capabilities make it straightforward to archive waveforms to a PC for analysis or reporting.

Applications

Analog and mixed-signal debugging
Probe and visualize analog circuits, op-amps, filters and mixed-signal nodes up to 200 MHz bandwidth.
Embedded system timing and interface verification
Measure MCU clocks, PWM, and decode or monitor serial interfaces while saving traces over USB.
Transient and glitch capture
Use the 20 kpts memory and record/save features to capture and analyze intermittent events and signal anomalies.
Lab bench and education
Compact, easy-to-use bench oscilloscope for hands-on electronics labs, repair benches and classroom demonstrations.

Getting Started

Mount and compensate the supplied 10:1 passive probes, set the probe attenuation on the scope to 10:1, and connect the probe ground securely. Plug the scope into a PC via USB and download/install the manufacturer's drivers/software from the vendor website to transfer or save waveforms. Consult the user manual for safety guidance on CAT II 400 V measurements and for using autoset and trigger controls to stabilize signals.
