Gravity: Analog Turbidity Sensor
Overview
The SEN0189 is an optical turbidity sensor designed to measure water quality by detecting the level of suspended particles in a liquid. It utilizes an infrared transmitter and receiver to calculate the light scattering and transmittance, providing both analog and digital outputs for integration with microcontrollers.
Why Choose This Part
The sensor features a dual-output mode where the digital signal threshold can be adjusted via an onboard potentiometer, while the analog output provides a continuous range from 0V to 4.5V. It is fully compatible with 5V systems and supports a wide operating temperature range from 5C to 90C.

Getting Started
Connect the module to a 5V supply and interface the analog output pin to an ADC-capable GPIO on an Arduino or similar microcontroller. Use the included Gravity-to-XH2.54 cable for solderless connection to DFRobot expansion shields. Calibrate the sensor in distilled water to establish a 0 NTU baseline voltage before measuring unknown samples.
