Overview

The SEN0344 is a compact breakout module featuring the Maxim MAX30102 integrated pulse oximetry and heart-rate monitor sensor. It combines two LEDs, a photodetector, and optimized optics with low-noise electronics to provide reliable PPG signals via a standard I2C interface.

Why Choose This Part

The module operates on a wide 3.3V to 5V supply range and features an 18-bit resolution ADC for high-precision data acquisition. Its extremely low standby current and high SNR make it ideal for battery-powered mobile devices requiring high sampling rates.

Applications

Wearable Health Monitors
Integration into smart watches or fitness bands for continuous heart rate and SpO2 tracking.
Medical Prototyping
Developing non-invasive diagnostic tools and pulse oximetry devices for research.
Human-Machine Interface
Using biometric feedback to adjust device behavior or user experiences based on physiological stress levels.

Getting Started

Connect the module to an Arduino or ESP32 using the I2C interface (SDA/SCL pins) and provide power between 3.3V and 5V. Use the DFRobot_MAX30102 library or the standard SparkFun MAX3010x library to begin reading IR and Red LED data for heart rate calculations.
