SENSEN54-SDN-T
Overview
The SEN54-SDN-T is an integrated environmental sensor node designed to measure particulate matter, volatile organic compounds (VOC), humidity, and temperature in a single module. It utilizes Sensirion's proprietary sensing technology to provide accurate air quality data via a standard I2C interface, operating on a 4.5V to 5.5V supply. This all-in-one solution simplifies the hardware design process for environmental monitoring systems by consolidating multiple sensing elements into a single 52.3mm x 43.3mm x 27.2mm package.
Why Choose This Part
This module reduces BOM complexity by providing four environmental parameters through a single I2C address, eliminating the need for multiple discrete sensors. It features a robust design with internal compensation for temperature and humidity effects on gas and particle readings, and its low standby current of 700uA supports energy-conscious designs.

Getting Started
Engineers can interface with the SEN54-SDN-T using its 6-pin connector and I2C protocol. Sensirion provides comprehensive C and Python drivers via GitHub to facilitate rapid integration with microcontrollers or SBCs. For initial prototyping, the SEK-SEN5x evaluation kit can be used to connect the sensor directly to a PC via a USB bridge.
