Si5351A-B07321-GT
Overview
The Si5351A-B07321-GT is an I2C programmable CMOS clock generator that uses a fractional-N PLL architecture to synthesize up to three unique frequencies with 0 ppm error. It replaces multiple crystal oscillators and buffers in space-constrained designs while operating with very low power consumption, typically 22mA with all outputs active. The device operates from a standard 25 MHz or 27 MHz crystal and supports output level translation across 1.8V to 3.3V rails.
Why Choose This Part
This IC offers excellent PSRR to minimize the need for external power supply filtering and features configurable spread spectrum for EMI reduction. The ability to program exact frequencies with 0 ppm error and adjustable output delays allows for precise timing alignment in complex digital systems.
Applications
Getting Started
Configuration is handled via a standard I2C interface; use the ClockBuilder Pro software from Skyworks to generate register maps. For prototyping, the Si5351A-B-EVB evaluation board provides a hardware platform to verify clock configurations before board layout.
