Overview

The SIT1602BI-23-18E-66.666660 is a high-performance 66.66666 MHz MEMS oscillator from SiTime's SiT1602 series. This low-power timing solution operates at 1.8V and is housed in a compact 2520 (2.5mm x 2.0mm) 4-pin SMD package. It offers excellent frequency stability of +/-50ppm across an industrial temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.

Why Choose This Part

This MEMS-based oscillator provides superior reliability and resistance to shock and vibration compared to traditional quartz crystals. Its low 1.8V operation and enable/disable function allow for significant power savings in standby modes. The high 66.66666 MHz frequency is delivered with a tight tolerance and a low current footprint of just 4.1mA.

Applications

High-Speed Digital Logic
Provides a reliable reference clock for FPGA, CPLD, and high-speed CMOS logic circuits requiring a 66.66666 MHz frequency.
Industrial Control Systems
Suitable for industrial automation equipment operating in harsh environments with temperature extremes up to 85C.
Battery-Powered Electronics
The low 1.8V supply voltage and 4.1mA maximum supply current make it ideal for power-sensitive portable designs.
Network Interface Cards
Provides the base clocking for networking hardware and communication interfaces requiring LVCMOS compatible levels.

Getting Started

To integrate this part, ensure a 0.1uF bypass capacitor is placed as close as possible to the VDD pin. The Enable/Disable (OE) pin allows the output to be gated for power management; ensure it is pulled high for normal operation. Standard SMT reflow profiles for 2520 packages apply.
