The SP3223EEA-L is a 2-driver/2-receiver RS-232 transceiver designed for portable or battery-powered systems operating from a 3.0V to 5.5V supply. It features AUTO ON-LINE circuitry, which automatically enters a 1 microampere low-power shutdown mode when the RS-232 cable is disconnected or the connected transmitters are inactive. This device is enhanced with robust ESD protection up to +/-15kV (HBM) to ensure reliability in harsh signaling environments.
