SiLSi7021-A20
Overview
The Si7021-A20 is a monolithic CMOS IC integrating humidity and temperature sensor elements, an analog-to-digital converter, signal processing, and an I2C interface. It features a factory-calibrated low-drift polymer dielectric sensor that provides high accuracy and long-term stability in a compact 3x3mm DFN package.
Why Choose This Part
This sensor offers excellent energy efficiency with a standby current of only 0.62uA and low active currents of 150uA for RH and 90uA for temperature conversions. Its integrated on-chip heater allows for the removal of condensation and facilitates self-testing in high-humidity environments.
Applications
Getting Started
Engineers can evaluate the sensor using the Si7021-EVB evaluation kit or via various I2C-enabled microcontroller platforms like the Silicon Labs EFM32 family. Implementation involves standard I2C communication at 1.9V to 3.6V, utilizing the factory calibration data stored in the on-chip non-volatile memory for plug-and-play accuracy.
