Getting Started

To evaluate this part, use the TCAN1042DEVM evaluation module which provides a pre-populated SOIC-8 footprint and termination resistors. Connect the TXD and RXD pins to any 3.3V or 5V microcontroller with a CAN controller, such as an MSP430 or STM32. Ensure a 120-ohm termination resistor is present at both ends of the differential bus for signal integrity.
