Overview

The TCR2EF33 is a CMOS-based fixed-output linear voltage regulator designed for low-noise performance in space-constrained applications. It delivers a stable 3.3V output at up to 200mA with a high Ripple Rejection Ratio of 73dB at 1kHz. The device includes an integrated auto-discharge function and overcurrent protection, making it suitable for sensitive analog and RF power rails.

Why Choose This Part

This regulator features a very low standby current of 0.1uA and is compatible with small, low-ESR ceramic capacitors. The SOT-25 package provides a compact footprint while the built-in pull-down resistor on the control pin ensures the device remains disabled when the enable signal is floating.

Applications

RF Stage Powering
Providing clean 3.3V power to low-noise amplifiers and frequency synthesizers requiring high PSRR.
Battery-Powered Handhelds
Utilizing the 35uA typical quiescent current to extend operating life in portable electronics.
Analog Sensor Interfaces
Supplying stable voltage to precision ADCs where low output noise (35uVrms) is critical for signal integrity.

Getting Started

When designing the PCB, place a 1.0uF ceramic capacitor close to both the input and output pins to ensure stability and transient response. Ensure the Control (EN) pin is driven high to activate the regulator, noting the internal auto-discharge circuit will quickly pull the output to ground when the device is disabled.
