Overview

The TLE4913HTSA1 is an omnipolar digital Hall effect switch designed for robust and low-power position sensing. It features a micro power design and provides a digital output signal, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. Its ability to detect both north and south poles enhances design flexibility.

Why Choose This Part

This sensor offers high sensitivity and magnetic switching point stability, ensuring reliable operation even with mechanical stress. Its omnipolar switching capability simplifies magnet orientation in designs, and the micro power design with 3.5 uA standby current makes it energy-efficient. The wide operating voltage range from 2.4V to 5.5V provides flexibility for various power supply designs.

Applications

On/Off Switch in Cellular Flip-Phones
Utilized for detecting the open or closed state of a flip-phone due to its small size and low power consumption.
Proximity Detection in Consumer Electronics
Ideal for detecting the presence or absence of a magnetic field, such as in lid closure detection for laptops or tablets.
Rotary and Linear Position Sensing
Can be used in applications requiring detection of angular or linear movement with a magnet, offering a non-contact solution.
Flow Metering
Suitable for detecting the rotation of a magnetic impeller in flow meters, providing a digital pulse output.
Door and Window Alarms
Acts as a reliable switch for security systems, sensing the opening or closing of doors and windows using a magnet.

Getting Started

To get started with the TLE4913HTSA1, connect the VDD pin to a 2.4V to 5.5V power supply and the GND pin to ground. The digital output pin should be connected to a microcontroller's GPIO with a pull-up resistor. The output will switch based on the presence of a magnetic field exceeding the +/-5mT trip points for activation and +/-4.2mT for release.
