Overview

The TMUX1511PWR is a high-performance, 4-channel SPST complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) switch designed for high-speed signal routing. It features a wide 3GHz bandwidth and low on-state resistance of 4.5 Ohms, making it suitable for a variety of analog and digital signal applications. The device supports a wide supply range from 1.5V to 5.5V and includes 1.8V logic compatible inputs.

Why Choose This Part

This switch offers excellent signal integrity with its 3GHz bandwidth and low charge injection of 2pC. Its fail-safe logic and powered-off protection prevent damage to the IC and surrounding circuitry during power-sequencing events. Additionally, the integrated pull-down resistors on logic pins simplify the BOM by reducing the need for external components.

Applications

High-Speed Signal Routing
Utilize the 3GHz bandwidth for switching high-frequency signals like JTAG, SPI, and other fast digital interfaces with minimal signal degradation.
Power-Off Protection
Protect downstream components in systems where signals may be present before the switch is powered, thanks to its powered-off protection up to 3.6V.
Data Acquisition Systems
Switch between multiple sensor inputs or calibration signals with very low charge injection of 2pC and high crosstalk rejection of -90dB at 100kHz.

Getting Started

To evaluate this part, use a TSSOP-14 breakout board or integrate it into a PCB design following TI's recommended layout for high-speed signals. Ensure that logic control pins are driven by 1.8V, 3.3V, or 5V CMOS levels as the inputs are 1.8V logic compatible across the full VDD range. Decouple the VDD pin with a 0.1uF ceramic capacitor placed as close to the device as possible.
