TITMUX2821DSGR
Overview
The TMUX2821DSGR is a dual-channel, single-pole single-throw (SPST) analog switch designed to handle signal swings beyond the supply rails, up to +/-5.5V. It features exceptionally low on-resistance of 200mOhm and a 100MHz bandwidth, making it suitable for precision analog signal routing. The device includes power-off protection and fail-safe logic to maintain high impedance at the signal pins when the supply voltage is removed.
Why Choose This Part
The primary advantage is the Beyond-the-Supply capability, which allows for a +/-5.5V signal range without requiring a dual-rail power supply. Engineers benefit from the extremely low 200mOhm max on-resistance and 1mOhm channel matching, which minimizes signal attenuation and offset errors. Integrated pull-down resistors on logic pins and fail-safe logic simplify the BOM by removing external biasing components.

Getting Started
When designing with the TMUX2821, ensure the VDD supply is decoupled with a 0.1uF capacitor placed close to the WSON-8 package. Use the TMUX2821EVM evaluation module to test switching speeds and signal integrity across the 100MHz bandwidth. Note that logic thresholds are compatible with standard 1.8V to 5.5V CMOS levels regardless of the signal voltage on the switch pins.
