Overview

The TPS7A2018PDQNR is a fixed 1.8V ultra-low-noise linear voltage regulator capable of sourcing up to 300mA. It is designed for sensitive analog circuits, providing high PSRR and very low output noise without the need for an external noise-bypass capacitor.

Why Choose This Part

This LDO offers an excellent balance of 300mA output current in a tiny 1mm x 1mm X2SON package. It features a high PSRR of up to 65dB and a very low 7 nV/rtHz noise density while maintaining a low typical quiescent current of 6.5uA during run time.

Applications

Precision Analog Power
Supplying clean 1.8V rails to high-resolution ADCs and DACs where noise performance is critical.
RF Front-End Supply
Powering low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) and oscillators in portable wireless devices.
Image Sensor Power
Providing ripple-free power to CMOS image sensors to prevent artifacts and noise in captured frames.

Getting Started

Designers should place a 1uF ceramic output capacitor close to the device pins for stability. The enable pin features a smart pulldown to ensure the regulator remains off when the control signal is high-impedance.
